How the price is calculated
  1. Round extra production copies up to a whole copy.
  2. Add production cost and setup cost.
  3. Divide cost by one minus the gross margin.
  4. Add the rush surcharge, then apply the minimum charge.

Round each price calculation to cents. Margin is the share of the selling price left after production cost. It is different from markup.

What has been checked?

The original workbook and browser calculations matched 12 independent test cases. Blank, zero and invalid inputs were checked, and this page was reviewed in desktop Chrome and a 390-pixel mobile layout. Native Excel behavior and embedding on customer websites have not been verified. These checks establish this example's tested behavior, not a general conversion guarantee.
